What is the Dinner Auction?
Each year, Lakeview Ministries holds a dinner auction to support camp and all that this ministry provides. The evening provides a lot of fun and entertainment, but the big winners are the campers! Proceeds from all winning bids and cash donations go into the camp’s general operating fund.
The schedule for the Dinner Auction is as follows:
5:00 Doors Open / Hors D’oeuvres Served
6:15 Announcements and Meal Prayer
6:30 Dinner is Served
7:45 Oral Auction Begins
8:00 Silent Auction Booths Begin Closing
9:00 Oral Auction Concludes
9:15 Fellowship, Dancing, Checkout
If I’m not able to attend the Dinner Auction can I still bid on items?
Absolutely! We love to have people support camp even if they are not able to attend the day of the auction. Online bidding will open up the week of the Dinner Auction on November 18th. Here’s all you need to do to bid online:
- Go to lakeview19.givesmart.com.
- Click the green “Sign In or Register” button.
- Fill in your information to create a GiveSmart account or log in with a previously existing account.
- Go to the “Items” section on the website to see auction item pictures and descriptions and to bid on items. You will only be able to bid on silent auction items.

Where can I purchase tickets?
You can purchase a ticket or reserve a table HERE. You can either purchase a single ticket for yourself, or, if you would like to come with a group of family and friends, you can reserve a table for a group of 8. If you reserve a table of 8 you will, of course, have complete control over who sits at your table. But even if you purchase a single ticket you will still be able to make requests for who sits at your table.
How can I donate an item for the Dinner Auction?
You can donate an item by going HERE. You will fill out a short information form about the item you would like to donate. We will get in touch with you and arrange when to pick up the item. All donations are tax-deductible!

I don’t know how I feel about online bidding-do you have to know a lot about technology?
No! We use an online bidding service that is very simple to use and user-friendly. Plus, you can have one of our volunteers bid for you so you don’t even have to mess with your phone!
What is the special donation item this year?
We are raising money for two big items for camp.
First, we need to purchase a new Lawn Mower. Our mowers at camp get HEAVY use. In the summer, we have someone mowing almost constantly to cut and trim all the different areas of camp with grass. Our current mowers are old and in need of significant repair. Purchasing a new mower will save our maintenance crew significant time and energy trying to keep the old fleet running. And it will help camp keep looking beautiful!
Second we need to purchase GATES for the entrances to camp. As a camp, we are responsible, a week at a time, for over 2000 children each summer. That is a responsibility we take incredibly seriously. Currently, we have no way to stop and screen delivery drivers, guests, and visitors before they drive past our main camp areas. Putting gates in at our main camp entrances will allow us much better control over who enters camp, and help provide our campers and guests with a greater level of safety and security.
