Alumni RE Weekend

Calling all alumni! We have reserved a weekend during the summer just for YOU. Come to camp to REconnect with old friends, RElax at the best place on earth, RElive the glories of summers past, and REcharge your soul.

Get ready for the Alumni RE Weekend.

When is it?

Friday, July 5th – Sunday, July 7th, 2019

How much does it cost?

  • $40 per adult
  • $20 for children 6-17
  • Children 5 and under are FREE

This is a significantly discounted rate because our ultimate goal is to allow alumni to come to camp and hang out. We miss you all!

When does it start and end?

You can check in to your village AFTER 7:00 pm on Friday. You must be checked out of your village BEFORE 11:00 am on Sunday. This gives our summer staff time to get those bad boys cleaned before new campers arrive on Sunday afternoon. You all remember what that was like, right?!

Where do we sleep?

We’ve reserved the Village Cabin Clusters for this retreat. If we need more space, we will also use the Camp Lakeview cabins. Families will be housed together in a cabin. If you have friends you know are coming, request to be in the same cabin as them!

In each Village Cluster there are four cabins with 3 bunk beds in each cabin. Camp Lakeview cabins have 6 bunk beds in each cabin. Cabins are air conditioned-thank goodness! Each Village Cluster and the Camp Lakeview cabins have a central bath house located nearby with bathrooms and showers.

Are meals provided?

Camp will provide hot meals for Saturday lunch and supper, and supplies for make-your-own cold breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday. You are more than welcome to bring your own snacks and food for the weekend as well.

Each Village Cluster contains a residential-style kitchen with a stove and refrigerator, and a fire pit with a grate and accessories like pudgie pie makers, dutch ovens, and skewers available to use.

If you are housed in the Camp Lakeview cabins, you will have access to the Camp Lakeview Shelterhouse, which has a similar set-up, including stove, refrigerator, and fire pit.

Are there activities to do?

While there won’t be any official programming offered during the weekend, there’s still going to be lots to do!

The Village lake will be open all weekend for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, etc. The Athletic Field shed will be open for some epic games of Steal the Bacon, dodgeball, and Ga Ga ball. You can also head over to the Camp Lakeview side and enjoy some mini golf, hang out at the Tire Playground, or do some intense Slip n Sliding.

There will be a fireworks display put on by the Lutheran Lake Resort Association on Saturday evening, so plan on bringing a blanket to the Camp Lakeview waterfront to watch the show!

We’re also open to the idea of alumni planning some activities to lead on their own. Want to set up a campfire devotion? Or arrange a Mud Pit tournament? Want to organize some group time on the challenge course? We’d love to see it!
